Each cook entrant will need to bring his or her own raw meat, which will be either ribs or tri-tip. There will be a potluck dinner only for the cook entrants and their families plus 3 guests. The following rules were adopted:
- Bring your own raw meat.
- Cooking time for raw meat starts at 10:00 am, following inspection of the meat.
- Cooking time is a 6 hour limit, ending at 4:00 pm.
- All preparation and cooking will be done at the island.
- There are two choices for meat, either ribs or tri-tip.
- The potluck dinner will begin at 4:10 pm, so the meat can rest and be cut for serving.
A prize for first place and for second place will be awarded.
Chairs: Dale Balcao and Chris Kelly
Dust of your camping gear, tune up the boats, and get ready for our first weekend event of the season. Please be sure to read the Rules and Regulations in your 2017 Roster. There have been some clarifications made regarding tents and leaving them when not in use. Let’s remember the 10 o’clock “quiet” in individual campsites and the boat dock.

REMEMBER Leave the island cleaner than you found it!
In spite of rain, wind and high tides, we really got a lot done at Island Clean-Up. Trees were cut, grass cut, weeds sprayed, tables and benches pressure washed and sealed, more trees planted, upgrades to the restrooms made, sheds inventoried, and best of all, lots of fun was had by us all. Many thanks to Shawn and Teresa Springer for organizing the crews and to Stephanie and Teresa for feeding us all lunches. Here are the people who volunteered:

A New Generator at Last!
Out with the old, in with the new! This is what it takes to get it done – A barge, a crane, a tractor and lots of muscle! One step closer to getting back to normal.
A HUGE thanks to Brad Hellwig, Jim Balch, Jim Derby, Jason Kerby, and Chris Kelly for taking the time to get this done!
Event chairs still needed for the Luau (8/5) and Labor Day (9/2-9/4)
Please email Linda Fisher if you will volunteer @ email@example.com
We want to remind our members that we always welcome their guests to camp with them on the island but, they are guests, and should not be leaving their tents up when they leave. Our first priority is to provide camping space, tables, and barbecues for our members. Thank you for helping with this.
