Established in 1949, Stockton Water Ski Club, is the 2nd oldest water ski club in the United States. Residing in the heart of the California Delta west of Stockton, CA the club is close enough for an easy day excursion or weekend camping trip.
The island is available for recreational purposes this weekend, but due to County Health regulations, we will not be holding our annual Potluck Dinner. The club will provide charcoal for the grilling area for our members use. It is important to note that social distancing should be observed outside of family groups on the docks, beaches, campsites and firepits.
Restrooms
The restrooms were sanitized and we ask members to sanitize areas you have used with the sanitizer provided. Hand washing should be done with only the soap provided in the dispensers. We are on a septic system that can only handle the provided soap.
Life Jackets
Don’t forget we are collecting life jackets (Coast Guard approved) to donate to the Fire Department who loans them to people in need. You can contact any board member if you have any to donate.
June and July Events
Your Board of Directors and Board of Trustees are monitoring the San Joaquin County Health Dept directives regarding Covid-19. It is important for all of us to comply with their directives so that our island is not closed to us during this pandemic period. Please stay tuned regarding events on our calendars as we will send updates as the restrictions are lifted. We are so lucky to have this wonderful retreat!
Pacific Avenue Bowl is hosting our second Family Bowling Fundraiser. Tickets must be purchased in advance from one of the Board of Directors. Price includes shoes two games and some pizza. There will be a 50/50 raffle, door prize, and a raffle.
Youth: $10 (Under 16) Adults: $20

Do you have Life Jackets no one uses any longer?
The Fire Department loans out life jackets to people in need. Your Board of Directors would like to collect life jackets that the kids have out grown or are just no longer needed. They need to be Coast Guard approved and in good condition. If you have one or more, contact a Board member to arrange a drop-off.

If you are planning to come, please email Shawn Springer (shawnspringer3@gmail.com) and let him know. Lunch will be provided so a headcount is needed.

Spring Island Clean Up: Special thanks to the Springer Family for organizing the Island Clean up weekends this year. Teresa did an awesome job keeping us all well fed as we worked on our projects. We also want to thank those wonderful members who came out, rolled up their sleeves, and really got a lot of work done. Gardening (mowing, weed wacking, tree pruning) was the main focus, but also we worked on the restrooms and deck and saw the arrival of our new tractor.
