Founded in 1949, Stockton Water Ski Club is one of the oldest water ski clubs in the United States. Located in the heart of the California Delta, west of Stockton, CA, the club is easily accessible for a day trip or weekend camping adventure.
Every year, as current Board Members’ terms expire, we need nominations for people to fill those slots on the Board of Directors for our club. This year, we have three openings coming up for the 2023 term.
Being on the Board of Directors requires attendance (Zoom is acceptable) at our monthly Board Meetings as well as the duties of the position you are appointed to on the board for that year. If you would like to nominate a club member or yourself, please do so by contacting us no later than Oct. 31st, 2022. The email to submit a nomination is firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may also submit a nomination by attending our November 9th General Meeting which will be held at the Village West Yacht Club at 6:00pm. This meeting is open to all SWSC members and is a great opportunity to hear what is going on and to discuss plans for the upcoming year.
We need headcount for the Sunday Potluck so please go to our Facebook page or email Linda Fisher @ email@example.com. The club is cooking tri-tip and each family needs to bring a dish to share.
Make room on the docks
When you arrive on the island on holiday weekends, remember we have a lot of boats to accommodate. When possible, stern in, or offer to let others side tie to you. If you are bringing guests, they should plan to side tie to you to leave dock space for members. Your cooperation is appreciated by all.
Our new SWSC Swag has arrived
We will have our new shirts available for sale this coming weekend. We have had a lot of you ask for new shirts, so come on out and get one!
